Andrei Stepanov

Andrei co-led FutureZero’s development of the Net Zero Strategic Leadership Talent Assessment Architecture. He also worked on related processes and tools to assess capacity for complexity, and the level of conceptual capacity and systems thinking. 

This also included the strategic leadership datamining toolkit and strategic leadership readiness assessment and talent forecasts — Ready Now, Ready 5, 10, 15, 20 years — as a legally defensible predictor of long-term potential for Business Model Transformation capacity and CEO / C-Suite Leadership. 

Andrei has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and advisory roles spanning HR, marketing and operations management in Eastern and Western Europe, including nine years with the London office of Heidrick & Struggles, the global executive search firm. He was in both their executive search and leadership assessment consulting practices.

He focuses on developing “the Smart Organization,” a pragmatic, research-based, and holistic approach to organization and talent development that helps CEOs increase their companies’ ability to cope with uncertainty.

Increased resilience is achieved by integrating organizational structure, talent management, and succession planning around natural levels of decision-making complexity. 

Andrei has used this approach to design better organization structures and strengthen talent pools in a range of sectors, including banking, retail, mechanical engineering, mining, construction materials, agriculture and IT services.

In addition, Andrei has experience in executive search and a wide range of leadership advisory work, including individual assessment, senior leadership team workshops, board effectiveness review, development of corporate values, leadership competency models and financial incentive systems.

From his base in the United Kingdom, he serves clients in a range of geographies: UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America.
